本計畫旨在闡明轉錄因子（transcription factors）在植物多種細胞分化過程中的功能與演化。錄取者將以阿拉伯芥（Arabidopsis thaliana）與本氏菸草（Nicotiana benthamiana）為主要模式植物進行濕實驗（wet-lab experiments），工作內容包括：植物栽種、分子選殖（molecular cloning）、植物轉殖（plant transformation）、顯微鏡分析（microscopy-based analyses）以及暫時性表現分析（transient reporter assays）。此外，錄取者須確實記錄實驗數據，並能使用 Microsoft Excel 進行基本的數據整理與統計分析。

1. 學歷要求：須具備生命科學、植物生物學、分子生物學、生物技術或相關領域之碩士學位。
2. 研究經驗：須具備至少一年以上操作阿拉伯芥（Arabidopsis）及／或本氏菸草（Nicotiana benthamiana）的實際研究經驗。具備兩年以上經驗者將優先考慮。
3. 數據處理能力：須具備基本數據管理與 Excel 技能，能熟練使用 Microsoft Excel 整理實驗數據並進行基礎統計分析。
4. 英文能力：須具備基礎英文溝通能力，能於團體會議（Lab meeting）中以英文進行交流，並能流暢閱讀與理解英文實驗通則（Protocols）。

本實驗室利用蘚苔為實驗材料，致力於研究陸生植物的外表形態環境適應及其訊號傳遞的演化過程機制。本計畫會用到分子生物、遺傳、基因組編輯、顯微鏡觀察及蛋白純化等技術。歡迎對植物研究工作有熱忱的你加入。The lab is using moss (Physcomitrium patens) as a model to investigate various developmental biology-related questions in plants. The lab routinely employs techniques such as genetic manipulations, protein expression/purification, and confocal microscopy observation. We encourage those interested in plant biology to be part of the team.

We are seeking 1-2 M.S.-level research associates to join us in dissecting the mechanisms and consequences of fungal-bacterial competition. We focus on the interaction between Pseudomonas species and fungal plant pathogens. Using ecological, functional genomic, and genetic approaches, we aim to determine whether bacterial defense mechanisms are specific or general against multiple fungi, and vice versa. Our research team is seeking 1~2 Research Associates to join us in exploring the evolution, ecology, and biology of eukaryotic microbes with key ecological roles on Earth. We focus on the interactions between microbes and their environment and utilize cutting-edge omics and bioinformatics tools to uncover their evolutionary trajectories and regulatory mechanisms. Currently, we are conducting an NSTC-funded project on marine algae, population variation, and warming. This position is open until filled.

Job description (Tasks are assigned flexibly; not all are required.)
-Culture and maintain microalgal and protist strains.
-DNA/RNA extraction, NGS libraries preparation, and perform sequencing.
-Design and conduct genomic, transcriptomic, or metabolomics experiments and analyses.
-Perform bioinformatic analyses, including genome assembly, annotation, and phylogenomic analysis, etc..
-May participate in field sampling during research cruises.
-Manage routine laboratory tasks and other assigned duties.

-Master’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, data science, oceanography, or a related field.
-Relevant research experience related to the described topics and tasks.

-Familiarity with Linux and programming languages is a plus.
