[Paul Verslues] Postdoctoral position in plant stress physiology and cell biology

A postdoctoral position focused on drought-related signaling mechanisms is available immediately.  Candidates from many backgrounds can be considered, however; experience in cell biology (microscopy) and protein analysis (in vitro protein expression, interaction assays) will be preferred. The successful candidate will be involved in projects to investigate the cellular function of AFL1 as well as stress-induced protein phosphatases and phosphosignalling controlling plant growth during drought stress. The successful candidate will join an active research group and have access to outstanding research facilities at IPMB including core facilities in proteomics, microscopy, bioinformatics, and sequencing.

Evidence of past research productivity and experience and recommendations of previous research mentors will be main criteria also be used to evaluate candidates.  Experience in Arabidopsis research will be beneficial but not required.  This postdoctoral position is supported by multi-year funding from Academia Sinica and can be renewed yearly depending on research progress.  The working language of the laboratory is English and international applicants are encouraged to apply.  Laboratory staff are available to assist the successful candidate with establishing themselves in Taipei.
