研究主題

1. 1. 海洋微藻的基因體與生殖：著重在會行鈣化作用（將鈣離子及二氧化碳衍生物轉為可沉積之碳酸鈣）的海洋浮游植物 – 鈣板藻。
2. 2. 真核生物巨病毒演化與基因調控：巨病毒是一群目前已知最大型的病毒，廣泛存在於海洋及其他生態系，並感染各種真核生物（脊椎動物（如：非洲豬瘟）、昆蟲、各種變形蟲及藻類）。
3. 3. 其他真核微生物演化或生態的課題。

*Responsibilities of research associates:

1. 1. Learning about current methods and topics in the field of research(15%; e.g., literature research, courses)
2. 2. Participating in the science activities at the Institute and Academia Sinica (5%; e.g., seminars, workshops)
3. 3. Lab experiments, data analyses, discussion (60%)
4. 4. Presentation of results (20%; e.g., meetings, conferences, publications)

1. 1. a degree in either of the following:
      a. Life sciences, biology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, ecology, oceanography, environmental sciences, aquaculture or other related fields
      b. Bioinformatics, informatics, computer science, data science or other related fields
2. 2. strong motivation to work in a research environment
3. 3. experience in working in a lab or on a biological project
4. 4. ability to work both independently and as part of a team
5. 5. sufficient English skills for reading, writing, and oral communication in science (the working language at the institute is English)
6. 6. a concrete future plan for the next five years (which should include working at this position for at least one year)
7. 7. experience in at least one (master) or two (doctor) of the following research tools/techniques:
      a. Molecular biology (qPCR, cloning, FISH, transformation, etc.)
      b. Cell biology (flow cytometry, cell sorting, microfluidics,protein localisation, etc.)
      c. Bioimaging (electron microscopy, fluorescence microscopy)
      d. Microbial/algal culture, aquatic sampling
      e. Programming (R, Perl, Python, C++, Bash, MatLab, etc.)
      f. Sequencing/genomic/omic/evolutionary analyses on Linux
      g. Bioimage analyses

月薪：碩士級 40,901 起，博士級 62,848 起。依能力、經驗與預期成果上調，起聘前面議。
年終 1.5 個月。
