Responsibilities | The laboratory of Dr. Ting-Ying Wu at the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology, Academia Sinica (IPMB, AS), invites applications for a fully funded Research Assistant (RA) position. The successful candidate will explore plant-environment interactions, specifically focusing on plants such as Marchantia, Arabidopsis, and potentially soybean, under environmental stresses like heat stress and clock alterations associated with global warming in high-altitude crops. This project employs systems biology and predictive biology approaches and is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Devang Mehta’s lab at KU Leuven, Belgium. The job content includes Molecular cloning, analysis of protein expression, nuclear protein extraction, and mutant plant screening. |

Salary | Payment: Academia Sinica MS degree standards: NT$44968/month or above. Merit-based prorated 1.5-month end-of-year bonus. The Wu Lab is part of IPMB, an institute comprising nearly 300 researchers and staff from Taiwan and over 15 other countries. Located on the main campus of Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan, IPMB provides cutting-edge core facilities including cell biology, microscopy, high-performance computing, and OMICs, fostering advanced interdisciplinary research. The Wu Lab emphasizes collaborative and interdisciplinary research among its members and maintains active international collaborations with research groups in Europe (UK and Belgium) and Canada. Research assistants will have opportunities for international visits to collaborators' labs annually, ranging from weeks to several months. |
