[Ming-Hsiun Hsieh] Glutamine is not just an amino acid for protein synthesis.
POST:Dr. Ming-Hsiun Hsieh’s laboratory recently published a review paper in Plant & Cell Physiology: Glutamine Metabolism, Sensing, and Signaling in Plants (https://doi.org/10.1093/pcp/pcad054). Glutamine is the first organic nitrogen synthesized in the plant cell. In addition to metabolism, glutamine has emerged as a signaling molecule regulating plant growth, development, and defense responses in plants. The contributing authors are Kim-Teng Lee, Hong-Sheng Liao, and Dr. Ming-Hsiun Hsieh.
