What is TGT value and scaling factor in the report file?

In order to eliminate the non-biological effects between GeneChips, it is necessary for signal normalization before data comparison. Scaling factors standardize the average signal of each experiment to TGT values. If the scaling factor with the same TGT value of compared GeneChips are over than 3-fold, data should be treated with caution.
