Research Assistant

The lab of Ka Wai Ma is inviting application working in a plant-microbiome lab. The Ma lab uses both gnotobiotic plant system the associated bacterial culture collection to understand the principles governing plant-microbiota homeostasis. Our research employs a multitude of omics techniques including 16S amplicon sequencing, transcriptomics and proteomics for functional analyses. The lab is currently looking for a motivated candidate to work on molecular mechanisms shaping plant microbiota interaction.

The position is opened until filled

Applicants are required to

1.    hold a MS degree

2.    experience handling plants

3.    have good command of English and preferably basic knowledge of mandarin

4.    background knowledge in microbiology and molecular biology

5.    experience in biochemistry like protein expression and purification is highly preferred

Academia Sinica MS degree standards: NT$45624/month or above.

Prorated end-of-year bonus.
