Symposium Theme
Grains, cereals and vegetables are the basis of the modern world’s food supply that relies on the success of sexual plant reproduction. Research in fundamental and applied aspects of plant reproduction is thus critical for maintaining high yields of food. This symposium will focus on several important processes of plant sexual reproduction, including 1) Molecular control of flowering, 2) Flower formation, 3) Meiosis, and 4) Pollination. The program consists of a keynote lecture, invited seminar talks, short talks, poster session, and workshops. At least twenty-one international and Taiwanese scientists will present their cutting-edge discoveries and it will be a unique opportunity for plant reproduction experts and enthusiasts from all over the world to discuss sciences and promote scientific community in Taiwan.
